Master Dave Williams

Master Dave started his martial arts journey during the summer of 1985.  He trained at studios in Houston, Pennsylvania and New Orleans prior to settling in Golden.  He earned his black belt  in 1988.  Master Dave joined the Golden Taekwondo Family Center in 2003 earning his 4th Dan in 2011.

Here are some reflections from Master Dave.

Simply put, Golden Taekwondo Family Center is much more than just another Taekwondo dojang.  Yes, we do work out and get in shape while learning Taekwondo, but we are also a family.  The experiences I’ve shared within my immediate family have shaped who we are as a family unit.  With my wife  and children also training, Taekwondo is an integral part of our whole family life.   Taekwondo is what we do together.  My most memorable day in Taekwondo, and one of the most memorable days of my life, was the day my children earned their black belts and my wife earned her second Dan.  Given all the effort we have put in and the time we have spent training together, it was fantastic to see my children follow through and succeed to earn their black belts.  It was not easy.  It is an accomplishment they can take with them throughout their lives.  It shows them that if they work hard at something, they can accomplish anything.  To be an active part of this learning in my children’s lives makes me a proud parent and martial arts practitioner.
